Welcome to Liz Graphic Design. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of lizgraphicdesign.com and your purchase of services from Liz Graphic Design.
By accessing this website, submitting an inquiry, booking a service, making a payment, or engaging Liz Graphic Design for services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use this website or purchase services from Liz Graphic Design.
1. Services
Liz Graphic Design provides creative and design services including, but not limited to:
Brand identity design
Packaging design
Brand identity and packaging design
Illustration
Content design
Other creative services agreed upon between Liz Graphic Design and the client
Each project will have an agreed scope, deliverables, timeline, pricing, and number of included revision rounds.
Requests outside the agreed project scope may incur additional fees.
2. Inquiry Response Time
After submitting an inquiry form through lizgraphicdesign.com, clients can expect a response from Liz Graphic Design within 24 to 48 hours.
Submitting an inquiry form does not guarantee project availability, acceptance, or a booking. Project availability and next steps will be discussed in the response.
3. Payment Terms
For projects valued at under $1,000 USD, full payment of 100% is required upfront before work begins.
For projects valued at $1,000 USD or more, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required before work begins. The remaining 50% is due upon project completion and before any final files are delivered.
Payments are processed through Payoneer. Clients may receive a Payoneer payment request or another Payoneer-supported payment method depending on their location and payment method.
A ~5% surcharge applies to international payments and is calculated at checkout. This surcharge covers applicable international payment processing and transaction costs.
Work will not begin until the required payment, including any applicable payment surcharge, has been received.
4. Deposits and Refunds
All deposits and upfront payments are strictly non-refundable once payment has been received.
Because design services involve time spent on research, strategy, creative development, design, communication, and production, payments for work already undertaken cannot be refunded.
5. Kill Fee
If you are not satisfied with the initial design direction and choose to discontinue the project, a $200 kill fee may apply.
This option is available within 4 days of the initial payment being received.
Please note that the initial deposit or upfront payment remains strictly non-refundable. The kill fee does not constitute a refund of the original payment.
If a project is cancelled after the applicable cancellation period, the client may remain responsible for payment for work completed and any outstanding amounts due under the agreed project terms.
6. Revisions
The number of revision rounds included in your project will be stated in your project agreement or proposal.
A revision means making reasonable changes to an existing design direction. It does not include developing an entirely new creative direction.
Extra revision rounds are charged at $75 per round.
7. Concept Pivots
A concept pivot occurs when a client requests a completely new creative direction after an initial direction or concept has already been developed.
A completely new creative direction will cost 50% of the original package price.
This fee covers the additional creative development, design exploration, and production required to restart the project in a substantially different direction.
8. After-Sales Services
After the final project has been approved and delivered, minor updates may be requested as an additional service.
After-sales services are $50 and may include minor revisions, text changes, color changes, or similar small adjustments.
Requests that require substantial redesign, new concepts, additional pages, new assets, or significant creative work may be quoted separately.
9. Client Responsibilities
The client is responsible for providing accurate and complete information, copy, images, logos, product details, dimensions, brand materials, and other content required for the project.
The client is also responsible for ensuring that any materials they provide to Liz Graphic Design can legally be used for the intended project.
Delays in providing information, feedback, approvals, or required materials may affect the project timeline.
10. Approvals and Final Files
The client is responsible for carefully reviewing designs before providing approval.
Once a design has been approved, Liz Graphic Design is not responsible for errors that were present in the approved design but were not identified by the client before final delivery.
Final files will be delivered in the formats included in the agreed project scope.
Working files, editable source files, unused concepts, rejected concepts, sketches, drafts, and internal production materials are not automatically included unless specifically agreed upon.
11. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Liz Graphic Design retains ownership of unused concepts, rejected designs, sketches, drafts, working files, and other creative materials that are not included in the final approved deliverables.
Upon receipt of full payment, the client receives the rights to use the final approved deliverables for the purposes agreed upon for the project.
Liz Graphic Design retains the right to display completed work in its portfolio, website, social media, case studies, presentations, and other promotional materials unless otherwise agreed in writing.
12. Third-Party Assets
Projects may include third-party assets such as fonts, stock photography, mockups, illustrations, templates, or other licensed materials.
Third-party assets may be subject to separate licensing terms, restrictions, or fees.
Where applicable, the client is responsible for purchasing or maintaining any required licenses.
13. Portfolio Use
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Liz Graphic Design may showcase completed client work for portfolio and promotional purposes.
This may include displaying the work on lizgraphicdesign.com, Instagram, other social media platforms, portfolio websites, case studies, presentations, and marketing materials.
If a project is confidential or subject to a confidentiality agreement, Liz Graphic Design will respect the agreed confidentiality terms.
